General Reservation Conditions - VLC Vacances Rental Corsica

Article 1 - Conditions of occupation

Unless otherwise stated, the maximum number of people authorized in a property is stipulated in the description sheet of the property. If a group presents itself with a number of people higher than that declared when booking, additional payment must be made immediately. In no case will the occupation exceed the maximum authorized capacity of the rented property.

Children under 2 sleeping in a cradle are not counted in this limit, but must be reported during the reservation.

The tenant and the other occupants undertake to adopt respectful behavior, to take care of the property, not to cause nuisances for the neighborhood, and to return the premises in the state in which they were found.

The sublet is strictly prohibited .

The tenant agrees to give free access to the ownership of the staff in charge of the maintenance or management of the property.

Article 2 - Pool safety

When a swimming pool is present, it is equipped with a safety device in accordance with French regulations. The tenant undertakes to maintain this system active throughout the stay. He recognizes that this system does not replace its vigilance, in particular with regard to monitoring children or any other vulnerable person.

Article 3 - Hours of arrival and departure

Each villa has its own arrival and departure times . These schedules will be mentioned in the specific information of the villa and press releases to the tenant before his arrival.

Article 4 - Reservation and cancellation conditions

Reservation

The tenant undertakes to pay all payment to the reservation to validate the reservation. No signature of the rental contract is required.

5. Cancellations and reimbursements

Any reservation is firm after confirmation.

Cancellation conditions :

  • 1. Up to 60 days before the arrival
    👉 100% reimbursed .
    The customer can cancel or modify without cost.

    2. Deadline authorized by VLC
    👉 7 days after the Customer's reservation
    can cancel or modify their dates for free, unless the reservation takes place within 7 days of the reservation date (emergency case).

    3. From 59 to 7 days before arrival
    👉 30% of the total amount is kept:
    15% for VLC
    15% for the owner
    The remaining 70% is reimbursed.

    4. Less than 7 days before arrival until D -Day
    👉 The customer has a maximum of 48 hours to request a change.
    No refund is authorized, except in cases of force majeure validated with proof.

No refund will be granted outside the deadlines specified above.

VLC Vacances Rental Corse does not intervene in disputes relating to cancellations.

5.1 Payment account management policy (ACCT)

1. Exclusive responsibility for VLC

VLC reserves the exclusive right to manage all the Stripe payment accounts (ACCT), whether they are:

• Connect / onboarding
• priority / administrators

This management also includes owners' accounts.

2. Owners' access

The owners have reading access alone to their stripe dashboard to follow their operations.
In any case, they have the right to make transfers to their personal accounts, the legal responsibility fully incumbent on VLC.

3. Infractions and sanctions

• 1ʳᵉ offense: VLC issues an official warning to the owner concerned.
• 2ᵉ offense: VLC reserves the right to:
• Delete or modify the owner's Stripe account,
• Remove your property from the platform, in accordance with CGU.

5.2 Payment time for owner credits

The payments (credits) made on the accounts of the owners are subject to the following conditions:

• Funds are credited 7 days after the end of the customer's stay .
• This period applies except in the case of force majeure or exceptional situation duly justified and validated by VLC.

This mechanism aims to guarantee the proper execution of the reservation and to protect all the parties concerned.

ARTICLE 5 - Warranty deposit

A security deposit may be required before arrival in the form of a bank fingerprint or check. In the event of degradation, the tenant authorizes VLC, the owner or the agent to retain all or part of the corresponding amount, increased by 5 % for management fees .

Any damage noted on arrival must be reported immediately.

VLC Vacation Rental Corse does not intervene in any case in the management of guarantees or warranty deposits . As a connection platform, we are neither responsible nor guarantors of funds related to a deposit .
The legal responsibility for the management, the verification of the premises and the return of a possible deposit of the guarantee is exclusively the owner or the concierge in charge of the property .

Article 6 - Household

Cleaning costs are not included in the rental price and must be paid on site to the owner or the agent as soon as the arrival.

The amount of cleaning costs will be transmitted to the reservation . The owner or the agent reserve the right to increase these costs if additional work is necessary.

Article 7 - Accommodation rates

The prices are expressed in euros, per night and by property . A minimum of 7 nights is generally required ( shorter stays on request ). The prices are likely to evolve at any time before confirmation of the reservation .

Article 8 - Tourist tax

The tourist tax is calculated as a percentage of the price of the night (excluding services) and/or in fixed price per person and per night . It is part of the total reservation price .

Article 9 - Liability of personal effects

The personal effects of tenants remain under their sole responsibility . Value objects must be kept in a secure . Neither VLC, nor the owners, nor the agents can be held responsible in the event of theft, loss or deterioration .

Article 10 - Insurance

It is strongly recommended to take out cancellation insurance covering travel risks. In any case , VLC, the owner or the agent can be held responsible for a bad stay and no refund will be made on this subject.

Article 11 - Visa and formalities

It is the tenant's responsibility to ensure the validity of his travel documents . No refund will be made in the event of a problem.

Article 12 - Complaints and disputes

Any complaint must be made in the first 3 days upon arrival , directly from the agent or owner.

In the event of a dispute, an amicable settlement proposal will be subject to both parties. In the event of disagreement, the case will be brought before the Ajaccio Commercial Court, which will provide treatment.
